Mia Chen is Ubeauty's senior nail editor. She has spent eight years in the nail industry — first as a salon technician, now writing full-time about press-on nails — and she tests every number we publish on real hands before it goes live.
What Mia covers
Application, wear time, sizing and removal. If a guide on this site tells you a set lasts 10–14 days, Mia is the one who wore it for 10–14 days, noted which finger lifted first, and wrote down what she did differently the second time.
How she tests
- Each new shape is fitted on three different nail bed widths (10mm, 12mm, 14mm) before release.
- Wear tests run with both application methods — jelly tabs and glue on both surfaces — and are logged by day, not by impression.
- Anything she can't reproduce twice doesn't get published as a claim.
